Abstract
The current study examined the differences of human sex trafficking cases in the states of Ohio and Arizona. The foundation of the differences between these two states in terms of the frequency of human trafficking in these states were analyzed. Arizona reportedly has a higher human sex trafficking rate than Ohio per capita. One of the proposed reasons is due to the close proximity of the Mexico-US border in Arizona. The data from this research can be used to further understand the challenges that different states face with human sex trafficking. Awareness of the frequency and challenges these states face allow for policymakers to integrate policies for prevention and awareness; this also includes the addition of more resources for victims.
