Abstract
This paper examines the Boltzmann Time Hypothesis, a philosophy of physics concept that ties the forward direction of time to the increase of entropy. Examining different conceptions of entropy and the consequences of them, as well as the implications of the Boltzmann Time Hypothesis, this paper aims to contribute to the discussion of the nature of time in both physics and philosophy, particularly whether or not time is a fundamental physical property, and if it can be explained by physics.
