Abstract

Companies all over the globe are visually recognized by their iconic logos and simple slogans. While some are very similar, some are very different. Companies such as Walmart, Target, Amazon, IKEA, Costco and Kroger all use different logos and social media to reach their targeted audience.

Visual branding helps the consumers learn to trust the company and is one of the biggest ways to communicate with the customers. It creates an impression on the viewers and informs them of the products being sold. This study aims to determine how these big stores use various types of social media messages to reach and persuade their targeted audience.

A study will be done on the communication audit, which is a review of the company’s social media materials and an assessment of the channels in which they use to communicate with the clients and customers. Surveys can also be used to determine how the target audience views these different companies.

The study will also look at the competitors to determine their strengths and their weaknesses in their social media tactics. It will look at what makes one company’s marketing strategy on social media successful versus its competitors. The results are yet to be determined for these studies and they will be available later on.
