Abstract

Ban-the-box laws delay an employer’s inquiry into an applicant’s criminal record until later in the hiring process. In this chat, Dallan Flake, JD examines the criticisms and successes of ban-the-box laws and discusses his own experiment to test the criticism that they may harm racial minorities.
