Key Findings
- Paulding County Juvenile Court has successfully utilized behavioral health screening for youths referred to the court.
- Nearly 60% of youths had high levels of externalizing problems such as hyperactivity, impulsivity, attention deficits and conduct problems.
- Almost half had high levels of internalizing problems related to depression, anxiety, and/or traumatic stress.
- Less than 5% had high levels of criminal/violent behavior or substance abuse.
