Abstract
Dr. Michael B. Loughlin, professor of history, discusses his recent book on the French socialist then national-socialist Gustave Herve. Although Herve switched his views throughout his life, there were certain continuities which help to make sense of his political odyssey and uncover the logic of political language and rhetoric.
