About This Journal
The vision of the Pharmacy and Wellness Review is “to provide a professional and educational journal focusing on emerging pharmacy and interdisciplinary wellness topics for both current and future health care professionals while further developing our own research techniques, professional writing ability, and leadership skills.” As a student-run group, third, fourth, and fifth-year pharmacy students, along with students from other healthcare disciplines, come together to disseminate information on current issues facing healthcare professionals. With the guidance of faculty members, small groups of students research and evaluate medical literature and prepare written documents. These articles are peer-reviewed by an executive student editorial board. The Pharmacy and Wellness Review is sent out to over 2000 readers across the country including boards of pharmacy, alumni, preceptors, and potential future employers. Professional writing has become an important aspect of interviews and applications for pharmacists.
