Abstract

Dr. Tina Liebrecht describes the work of Northern Nursing Without Borders, a group of nursing, pharmacy, and other allied health students, faculty, and alumni who plan and implement a medical mission trip in the Dominican Republic every May. This group spends months collecting donations including medical and hygiene supplies, education material, and general donations. Each year, care and donated supplies as well as health education are provided to over 500 Dominican and Haitian people.
